Pat Moran, son of Tim and Cathy Moran of Winterport, will be celebrating his birthday Sunday in Australia. He is there in Melbourne playing baseball on the Melvern Baseball Club and will be there for six months. He is also working in a sporting goods store and helping with the Little League teams there. Quite an experience.

Counters are needed for election night from 8 p.m. to closing time. Republican, Democratic and Unenrolled are needed. Call the Town Office at 223-5055 for more info.

The Lady Mustangs field hockey team, which  has Wagner Middle School girls on the team, finished their season undefeated! Coach Patterson is very proud of her team!

And the boys' and girls' soccer teams each earned wins this week. Great job to all.

School pictures will be taken Oct. 24 and there will be early dismissal, for staff inservice training, Oct. 26.

The Christmas Shoe Box project will be ending the middle of November. If you have a shoe box filled, it can be dropped off at the Winterport Baptist Church, with a marking on top of it saying whether it is for a boy or a girl.
