With a big storm approaching, the Town Office issued a reminder for all vehicles to be sure to park off all roads, in town and out of town.

The Community Gathering at the ECUMC has been canceled, and will be held Feb. 16 at the same time and place.

The next meeting of the Winterport Area Business Association is Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Winterport Winery at 7:30 a.m. Please bring ideas for guest speakers and fundraisers. People from area towns are welcome to come and bring a friend with you.

On Mar. 4 at 7 p.m a meeting will be held at Hampden Academy about the school budget and state funding.

School vacation is the week of Feb.18 to 22.

The basketball tournament will be in full swing then, also.

I have two great-granddaughters who are cheerleaders and they are competing Feb. 10 in the National Cheerleading Competition in Orlando, Fla. Good luck, Sophie and Alexandra, and the rest of your team.
