Ellingwoods Corner United Methodist Church, Corner of Monroe Road and Lebanon Road (Route 69), is having a rummage and bake sale Sat. Mar. 9, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A New England boiled dinner is on the agenda for lunch with all the fixings at 11 a.m. Adults $7, children 4 to 11 $4. Free coffee all day
Historical talk
Winterport Historical Association will meet Mar. 11 at the Victoria Grant Civic Center at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck. The guest speaker will be Ken Allen, former professor and UMaine interim president. His topic is "14th Engineers Regiment, Co.C WW1 (182 men from Maine Central Railroad.)"
School news
Congratulations to the PVML Spelling Bee contestants, Micah Hawes, Jordan Patterson, Jerdon Keisman and Caroline Beckwith. They did a great job representing Wagner Middle School.
The Show Choir will be traveling to Stearns High School on Tuesday, Mar. 5, to compete in the District Choir Festival. Good luck!
