Trees crafted from wire are among the creations of Patie Thompson, part of the June 27 Belfast Art Market.

Belfast — The Belfast Art Market gathers every Friday through August from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grounds of Waterfall Arts, 256 High St., rain or shine, offering a chance to apply the Know-Your-Farmer philosophy to local artisans.

This week, B.A.M. is showcasing the work of Patie Thompson, comes from away, but makes her home here in the summer and shortly will be taking the plunge permanently. Thompson works in many media, as seamstress, designer, jeweler, painter and wire sculptor.

The June 27 market, with the Belfast Farmers Market alongside, offers more than 15 artisans representing the Midcoast region. For more information on B.A.M., visit belfastartmarket.weebly.com.
