Work of Unity College Ceramics Instructor Randy Fein to be Featured at Artfull Gifts Show, Nov. 16-18

Unity, Maine –  Works by Unity College Ceramics Instructor Randy Fein will be featured at the Artfull Gifts Show, November 16-18, at Point Lookout resort in Northport.

     In addition to the pieces by Fein, the event will feature the work of 50 premier artisans, artisanal foods, local authors, and live jazz.|

     Friday evening, November 16, provides a perfect time to socialize with others who believe in buying locally created fine art, craft, and foods while supporting a local charity. Friday night admission is $10.  Unity College students, faculty and staff with ID receive ½ admission for each day of the show.

     The show continues on Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Admission on Saturday and Sunday is $3. 

     In addition to showcasing the work of 50 exceptional artists and artisans from all over Maine and New Hampshire, this year’s festive marketplace will also give show goers the chance to sample the delectable products of local food purveyors and meet several prominent Maine authors. Again this year, admission fees will benefit Coastal Mountain Land Trust (www.coastalmountains.org).

     The artisans, who were invited to participate based on the premier quality of their work, will be offering a wide selection of jewelry in many mediums, Pottery handcrafted wooden furniture, Fine art prints , Drawing and mixed media  paintings, quilts, sculpture (stone, metal, and clay), photography, wearable textiles,  Maine made candles, stained glass, floral art and bird carvings.

     For the first time this year, the ArtfullGifts Show will also put the spotlight on local authors, who will give informal readings and be happy to autograph their books with personal inscriptions. Participating authors will include novelists Vicki Doudera and Elizabeth Hand.

     A Cocktail Gala on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. will kick off the weekend and provide the first opportunity to meet the vendors and make selections from their full array of merchandise. Adding to the atmosphere will be live jazz by Chris Poulin’s Shades of Blue, a cash bar, and complimentary nibbles provided by  Crazy Dick’s Cajun foods, Fiore’s ,Oyster Creek Mushrooms, Atlantic Bakery, Belfast Coop, Ducktrap seafoods Fresh Restaurant, Gelato Fiasco, State of Maine Cheese ,Thorndike Creamery and many other treats from  select fine Maine food purveyors.

     “We are so pleased to provide this opportunity to shop for unique gifts, all finely hand-crafted by New England artists,” said Fein.  “We are very excited to include some of our outstanding local authors and food purveyors this year for the first time.
