Writer’s Workshops at Hutchinson Center

The University of Maine's Hutchinson Center in Belfast offers classes and events this summer.

Belfast — The air-conditioned University of Maine's Hutchinson Center, 80 Belmont Ave./Route 3, will offer Writer’s Workshops presented by UMaine English faculty Mondays in July. For information and a free brochure, contact Erica Hughes at UMH at 338-8034 or Erica.Hughes@umit.maine.edu

On July 2, Bruce Pratt will tackle Managing Point of View from 9 a.m. to noon ($100); and Charlsye Diaz leads Turn Your Memoirs into a Book from 1 to 3 p.m. ($50). On July 9, Kathleen Ellis teaches New & Renew: Poetry Writing from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Leonor Hildebrandt leads Intro to Creative Writing from 1 to 3:30 p.m. ($100). On July 16, Pratt leads Mastering Dialogue in Short Fiction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. $100). On July 23, Pratt teaches Fiction Manuscript  from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ($100). On July 30, Diaz returns with Turn Your Memoirs into a Book II ($100).
