‘Xanadu’ found at Marsh River

Brooks — Marsh River Theater, 24 Monroe Highway/Route 139, invites the public to its production of “Xanadu. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., June 13 through 21; and, the only matinee, Sunday, June 22, at 2:30 p.m.

“Xanadu” follows the journey of Kira, a magical and beautiful Greek muse, who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, Calif., in 1980 on a quest to inspire struggling artist Sonny to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time — the first roller disco. But when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, jealous sisters take advantage of the situation and chaos ensues.

Filled with hits including “Magic,” “All Over the World,” “Suddenly,” “I'm Alive,” “Evil Woman,” “Have You Ever Been Mellow” and “Xanadu,” this show is a real crowd pleaser for audiences of all ages.
