I specialize in country/rural properties, particularly those that include large parcels of land. Mini-farms, horse farms, specialty farms,produce farms,tree farms and recreation lots are a few examples. I consider soil types, elevations, exposure, drainage, access, abutting land uses, boundaries and land use regulations when I assist in matching the best property to the right user.
Professional Experience
Since starting my real estate career in 1974, I have been involved in a wide variety of real estate activities. I have listed and sold hundreds of properties including a family's first home, "move-up" homes, retirement homes, second homes, multi-family homes, cottages, mini-farms, farm businesses, a variety of other businesses, business sites, recreation sites and house lots. I have also been involved in real estate exchanges, developments, subdivisions, and appraisals for many years as an agent, a consultant and a principal. I have also testified in court as an expert witness.

Masters in Business Administration(MBA) University of Maine at Orono 1972. Licensed real estate agent 1974. Graduate Realtors Institute(GRI) 1980. Designated Century 21 Investment Specialist 1983. Completed four commercial investment real estate classes 1990-1994. President of the Maine Association of Realtors 1994. Named Maine's "Realtor of the Year" 1994. Certified Instructor for Professional Standards & Procedures by the National Association of Realtors 1988. Served on the Professional Standards Committee of The National Association of Realtors for 3 three year terms.
Personal / Comments
I truly enjoy the area in which I work and live. Rural Maine has much to offer, especially to those who are raising a family, as I am.
