David J. Hinckley, 50, formerly of Marlborough, Mass., died Dec. 4, 2009, in Belfast.

He was born April 25, 1959, in Marlborough, Mass., a son of Francis and Lillian (Nicholas) Hinckley.

David was a loving father and family man. He loved the outdoors and the ocean so much that he and his wife moved to Maine in 2004. He held his master license in fuel and propane and was employed by Knight Fuel in Massachusetts and by Irving in Maine. He will be remembered for his smile and for his love of life and his family.

He was predeceased by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Hinckley, of Waldo; two daughters, Alexis D. Hinckley of New Hampshire and Morgan R. Hinckley of Waldo; his mother, Lillian Hinckley, of Massachusetts; his siblings, Frank Hinckley, James Hinckley and his wife, Kim, Diane Chandler and her husband, John; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kelsey, Karina and Zachary, all of Massachusetts; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast. Reception at Fox Landing immediately following the service. Online condolences may be placed at crabielripostafuneralhome.com.
