Keith Loyal “Little Abner” Littlefield, 54, of Waldo, died unexpectedly at his home on the morning of Dec. 11, 2009. He was born Nov. 22, 1955 in Sacramento, Calif., to Ernest and Norma Littlefield.

Keith was the owner of Lil Abners Antiques & Collectables for many years and enjoyed auctioneering. He donated a great deal of time to the Morrill Fire Department’s annual charity auction and was a regular at the Houston & Brooks Auction Hall. In his younger years, Keith served in the U.S. Marine Corps and also worked as a long haul truck driver.

He is survived by his parents; his soul mate of 20 years, Margo Flanary; his loyal companion, Daisy Mae; and his three daughters, Letitia (Littlefield) Stover and her husband, Eddie, of Waldo, Jane Littlefield of Northport and Kathleen Flanary of Waldo.

He is also survived by his siblings and dear relatives; Carol (Littlefield) Cook and her husband, Richard, of Morrill, Susan (Littlefield) Bailey and her husband, Shawn, of Belfast and Bruce Littlefield Sr. of Southbridge, Mass.; nephew Brian Littlefield and his wife, Tammy, and their children, Jack and Joseph, of Northport; niece Jayme Bailey of Belfast; and many beloved friends and extended family.

Keith will be remembered by those who knew him as a wisecracker, avid gamester, collector of all things, loyal friend and a proud loving father. He enjoyed playing his collection of harmonicas for anyone willing to listen and loved sharing his knowledge of horse racing. Many will agree he was a “big guy” to allow room for such a large heart, which never stopped caring, loving or giving. He was an amazing soul mate, son, brother, uncle, friend and the best father ever! He will be sadly missed by all.

Special thanks to Dr. Deborah Peabody for all of her dedication and compassionate care.

The family invites all friends and family to join them for a celebration of Keith’s life at the American Legion Hall in Belfast on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 2 to 5 p.m.
