Despite its small numbers compared to most competitors, the Belfast Area High School indoor track team scored relatively well Tuesday thanks to solid performances by a number of Lions in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference meet at Bowdoin College.
The girls team scores were: Waterville and Brunswick 166, Gardiner 129 and Belfast 52. The boys team scores were: Brunswick 322, Waterville 175, Belfast 44 and Gardiner 24.

Boys 55 meters junior division — 15, Stephen Hess, 9.20.
Boys 55 meters senior division — 2, Wilbur Fogg, 6.89.
Girls 55-meter hurdles senior division — 3, Emily Violette, 11.47.
