A local woman was not hurt when she apparently lost control on slippery roads and rolled her vehicle early on the morning of Dec. 29.

According to the accident report from Waldo County Deputy Glenn Graef, 58-year-old Sally A. Grant of Stockton Springs was traveling west on Cape Jellison Road in her 2007 Toyota sport utility vehicle around 4 a.m. As Grant made a right turn onto Main Street, the report said she lost control of the vehicle and slid into the ditch, coming to rest on its roof.

Stockton Springs Ambulance Service responded to the scene to check on Grant, but according to Graef’s report, Grant stated that she was not injured. Grant was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Damage to the sport utility vehicle was estimated at $4,000.
