An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between Dec. 22 and Dec. 29.

Dec. 21 (late entry)

Joshua Cunningham, 27, of Belfast was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fines.

Dec. 22

Jessi M. Piper, 28, of Belfast was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

Dec. 23

Marc E. Payne, 54, of Freedom was backing his 1997 Subaru from a parking space on Starrett Drive as a 2004 Chevrolet, driven by Tylor A. Lee, 22, was pulling into a parking space. Payne struck Lee’s vehicle in the driver’s-side rear door. Damage to the Subaru was estimated at $1,500 and damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $1,000.

Lisa A. Littlefield, 30, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Bethany D. Barnaby, 27, of Portland was arrested for operating under the influence and operating beyond license restrictions.

Dec. 25

At about 3:20 p.m. Charles R. Donald, 69, of Islesboro was driving a 1982 Mercedes south on Route 1 when he took his eyes off the road and struck a sign in the median, then struck a granite curb.

Dec. 26

Elvis N. Robbins, 55, of Belfast was summoned for indecent conduct.

Dec. 27

Israel S. Robbins, 26, of Waldo was arrested for operating under the influence.

Dec. 28

Chyann J. Stewart, 16, of Belfast was summoned for failure to show proof of insurance.

Kirt J. Damon, 20, of Stockton Springs was arrested for domestic violence assault and violating condition of release.

Ashley M. Dodd, 20, of Belfast was arrested for assault and violating condition of release.
