An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity between Dec. 22 and Dec. 29.

Dec. 22

Samantha A. King, 32, of Bangor was summoned for operating after suspension.

Dec. 23

Gabriel D. Piszcz, 23, of Searsmont was arrested for failure to report an accident by the quickest means, operating after suspension, violating condition of release, unauthorized use of property and two warrants for unpaid fines.

Paula J. Wing-Adams, 35, of Orono was summoned for operating after suspension.

Dec. 24

Teresa C. Leathers, 37, of Brooks was summoned for attaching false plates.

Dec. 25

Michael A. Gushee, 47, of Searsmont was summoned for violating condition of release.

Dec. 26

Justin Barnard, 23, of East Haven, Conn., was summoned for operating after suspension and failure to give notice of an accident by the quickest means.

Dec. 28

At about 5:20 a.m., Stracy L. Hughes, 35, of Northport was driving on Rocky Road in Northport when he lost control of a 1998 Ford sport-utility vehicle on the icy road. The vehicle left the road, struck several small trees and a road sign before stopping. He was not injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000.

Michael A. Hilton, 19, of Greenbush was summoned for operating without a license.
