Kenneth “Kenny” Peters, 63, died Jan. 3, 2010, at a local hospital.

He was born in Rockland June 29, 1946, the son of Clarence and Erma (Nye) Peters.

He spent much of his working years at Penobscot Poultry in Belfast. Kenny loved children, animals, playing cards, games, pool, visiting friends and family. He’ll be remembered for his keen sense of humor, as he loved playing jokes. He also enjoyed puzzles, books, watching TV, and listening to music.

He would love all those who knew him to look at the sky and pick out a star and think of him as they view it in the future.

Kenny was predeceased by three brothers, David Boynton, Dennis Boynton and Clarence Peters; and a stepdaughter, Candy.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Clare Peters, of Morrill; a daughter, Amy Peters, of Oklahoma; three stepdaughters, Rose, Kathy and Tina: three brothers, Daniel Boynton of Rockland, James Peters of Appleton and Hayden Peters of Rockland; a sister, Judy McCoy, of Thomaston; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the Crossroads to Calvary Church Thursday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Heath officiating.

Arrangements are with Crabiel-Riposta Funeral home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast.
