After a successful gallery year in 2009, Maine Farmland Trust is starting the new season with an interesting exposé in its downtown gallery at 97 Main St.

Into the month of April, Maine Farmland Trust Gallery is hosting “Food for Thought 2.” This group show offers a taste of last fall’s exhibit “Food for Thought, Time for Action,” curated by MFT and held at the Ethel H. Blum Gallery at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor.

Artists featured in “Food for Thought 2” are Susan Camp, showing manipulated gourds; Kenneth Cole of Monroe, ink drawings; Robert Shetterly, acrylic paintings; and Barbara Sullivan, shaped frescoes.

There will be an artists’ reception open to the public Saturday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., at MFT Gallery.

The gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about this gallery show or other gallery inquiries, contact the gallery coordinator at or 338-6575.
