An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity between Dec. 29 and Jan. 5.

Dec. 24 (late entry)

Alonzo Burgess, 66, of Camden was summoned for harassment.

Dec. 29

At about 4 a.m., Sally A. Grant, 58, of Stockton Strings was traveling west on Cape Jellison Road. As she turned right onto Main Street, she lost control, went into the ditch and the 2007 Toyota sport-utility vehicle she was driving turned over on its roof. Grant was not injured and damage to the car was estimated at $4,000.

At about 1:05 p.m. Kim Hegstrom, 54, of Brooks was driving a 2004 Chevrolet sport-utility vehicle down a hill on Reynolds Road in Brooks and as she pulled to the right of the road to let a vehicle pass, she started to skid and spun around 180 degrees before going into the ditch. The vehicle rolled partially onto its side, but was stopped by the ditch. She was not injured and damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,500.

At about 2 p.m., Margaret J. Whittier, 85, of Winterport left her 1992 Plymouth unattended in reverse. The car rolled back into the Winterport Post Office, causing about $1,500 damage to the wall. There was no damage to the car.

Frederick W. Sibley, 20, of Winterport was arrested for violating condition of release and summoned for theft by unauthorized taking.

Steven A. Hodgdon, 44, of Troy was arrested on a probation hold.

Dec. 30

Christopher A. Merry, 35, of Swanville, was summoned for possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Danielle White, 37, of Belfast was arrested for two counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Alden Brown, 56, of Jackson was arrested for unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and two counts of possession of scheduled drugs.

Arthur Stevens, 53, of Swanville was arrested for four counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Andrew M. Sousa, 25, of Brooks was arrested for obstructing the report of a crime and domestic violence assault.

Dec. 31

Jeremy A. Rackliff, 29, of Winterport was driving a 1996 Saturn north on Back Winterport Road in Winterport at about 9:45 a.m. when he lost control, went across the southbound lane and hit a Central Maine Power pole before spinning around and coming to a stop when the car hit a well casing. There were no injuries.

Julie E. Brassbridge, 45, of Frankfort was driving a 1997 Suzuki east on Loggin Road in Frankfort when she lost control on the slushy road and went into a ditch, causing about $2,000 worth of damage to the passenger side and rear of the vehicle. She was not injured.

Richard Rowell, 18, of Stockton Springs was summoned for operating without a license and passing a stopped school bus with lights flashing on Route 3 in Belmont.

Steven A. Watson, 52, of Stockton Springs was arrested on a warrant.

William K. Scott, 30, of Freedom was summoned for assault and disorderly conduct.

Frank Patterson Jr., 48, of Winterport was arrested for operating under the influence.

William S. Hinkle Jr., 33, of Frankfort was arrested for obstructing the report of a crime or injury.
