Three youths sustained non-life-threatening injuries in an accident that occurred on Clark Road Jan. 13.

According to the accident report from Waldo County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Jones, 18-year-old Luke A. Bryant of Belfast was the driver of a 2005 Ford that was registered to Fay Moody of Thorndike.

Bryant over-corrected when he met an oncoming vehicle and lost control. The vehicle left the road on the right side and struck a tree.

Bryant and his two passengers, 16-year-old Evan Moody and 17-year-old Travis Veilleux, all sustained minor injuries in the accident, and the Unity Volunteer Ambulance responded to the scene to examine the trio. Waldo County Chief Deputy Bob Keating said ambulance personnel checked all three of the teens, and no one was transported to the hospital.

The Ford sustained an estimated $5,000 in damages.
