Parker R. Philbrick, 92, of Frankfort, died Jan. 14, 2010, in Penobscot.

He was born March 10, 1917, in Knox, a son of Lewis and Annette (Richards) Philbrick.

Parker was a poultry farmer in Prospect for all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sightseeing and going for drives. He loved going to Toddy Pond on the weekends and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife, Edith, in 2002, and a brother, Franklyn Philbrick, in 1969.

He is survived by his loving children, Lewis Philbrick, Carolyn Brown, Truman Philbrick and his wife, Connie; two grandchildren, Tracy Johnson and her husband, Rudy, and Truman Philbrick Jr. and his wife, Jamie; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Johnson, Kegan Philbrick and Yancey Philbrick; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and -nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, with the Rev. Norman Lobonte officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at East Thorndike Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at crabielripostafuneralhome.com.
