An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County during the past week. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.

Jan. 11

Trooper Luke Cunningham responded to a report of a possible juvenile runaway on North Searsport Road in Frankfort. Investigation revealed a 16-year-old female threatened to run away or hurt herself. She was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor for an evaluation.

Troopers Jonah O’Roak and Jonathan Russell investigated an unattended death on North Main Street in Winterport. The 26-year-old female was found in her bedroom. Attempts at CPR were unsuccessful. The death was not suspicious.

Jan. 12

O’Roak investigated an unattended death on Boston Road in Winterport. The 63-year-old female was found deceased and the death does not appear to be suspicious.

Trooper Jeremiah Wesbrock reponded to a report of a juvenile runaway on Loggin Road in Prospect. Investigation revealed a 17-year-old male had walked from Bangor. He was taken back to his parents in Bangor.

Wesbrock responded to a report of a domestic dispute on George Road in Prospect. As a result, David Buker, 47, was arrested for domestic assault and taken to Waldo County Jail.

Jan. 13

Cunningham investigated the report of a theft in Stockton Springs. The complainant reported theft of a Homelite generator and Craftsman chainsaw from an outbuilding. The investigation continues.

Jan. 14

Troopers Bethany Couturier and Mark Barney responded to a report of an assault on Spout Hill Road in Prospect. The complainant reported being assaulted by a client. The client was transported to the hospital for an evalution.

Couturier stopped Robert Wilson, 20, of Searsport on Prospect Street in Searsport for a vehicle defect. Wilson was summoned for operating after suspension.

Jan. 16

Russell stopped a vehicle on Route 174 in Prospect for a vehicle defect. Passenger Chase Argot, 26, was arrested for violating condition of release and taken to Waldo County Jail.

Jan. 17

Couturier stopped Robert Lambeth, 45, of Stockton Springs on Route 1 in Searsport for a registration violation. Lambeth was summoned for operating after suspension.

Couturier stopped Mathew Sanborn, 22, of Stockton Springs on Route 1 in Stockton Springs. Sanborn was summoned for illegal attachment of registration plates.
