An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between Jan. 12 and Jan. 18.

Jan. 11 (late entry)

Sherry A. Runci, 29, of Belfast was summoned for negotiating a worthless instrument.

Jan. 12

Lorraine E. Northup, 49, of Frankfort was summoned for failure to show proof of insurance.

Kenneth Kimball, 60, of Jackson was summoned for assault.

Jan. 13

At 6:05 a.m., Timothy Hall, 49, of Belfast was driving a 2006 Saturn west from Main Street onto Belmont Avenue as Dustin L. Armstrong, 25, of Swanville was making a left turn off the Route 1 ramp onto Belmont Avenue in a 2000 Toyota pickup truck. Armstrong failed to see Hall approaching from the right and pulled out and struck the driver’s side of the Saturn. There were no injuries, but damage to the Saturn was estimated at $3,000 and damage to the Toyota at $1,500.

At 9:46 a.m., Ruth E. Sawyer, 87, of Northport was coming from the parking area of the Wentworth Building on Waldo Avenue in a 2006 Hyundai and failed to see a 2007 Ford school bus, owned by Waldo Community Action Partners and driven by Leroy Harriman, 65, of Northport exiting the building in the throughway. Sawyer pulled in front of the bus. There were no injuries, but the Hyundai damage to the Hyundai was estimated at $1,600 and damage to the school bus was estimated at $250.

At 1:20 p.m. Patricia Pierson, 65, of Belfast was making a left turn from Market Street onto Main Street in a 2009 Mitsubishi sport-utility vehicle and couldn’t see because of the sun and ran into a 2007 Dodge, driven by Katreena M. Ellsmore, 29, of Searsport, who was making a left turn from Main Street onto Market Street. Damage to the Mitsubishi was estimated at $1,700 and $2,700 to the Dodge.

Tyson S. Servisky, 21, of Brooks was arrested for domestic violence assault with a prior.

Tyler Jay Damon, 18, of Stockton Springs was summoned for illegal possession of liquor by a minor.

Jan. 15

Kaden Mehuren, 19, of Searsmont was summoned for speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.

Curtis S. Dow, 45, of Swanville was summoned for improper passing on Route 141.

Jan. 16

Jessi Piper, 28, of Belfast was arrested for refusing to submit to arrest, violating condition of release and operating after suspension.

Jan. 18

Dustyn J. Reynolds, 27, of Searsport was driving a 2001 Chrysler north on Swan Lake Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle in the slush. She crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2006 Ford, driven by Wayne S. Jewett, 57, of Swanville. There were no injuries. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $3,000 and damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $1,500.
