Winterport Open Stage will hold auditions for its spring production of “Jenny’s House of Joy,” a new piece by Canadian playwright Norm Foster, to be directed by Dominick Varney.
Auditions will be Tuesday, Feb. 9 and Thursday, Feb. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wagner Middle School, Mountain View Drive. Scenes will be provided, so no prepared monologues are necessary.
“Jenny’s House of Joy” is a Wild West comedy about the world’s oldest profession. Jenny runs a parlor of iniquity and when a new girl comes to town, competition amongst the ladies gets stiff. This all-female shoot-em-up comedy will lasso the laughs as the ladies reveal their client’s best wishes … and some of their own.
The show will run for two weekends, April 8 through 18. For more information, send e-mail to dominick.varney@umit. Maine.edu or visit winterportopenstage.com.
