A traditional shape note singing is held the second Monday of every month. This month’s singing will run 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 in First Church Fellowship Hall, between Church and Court Streets with the entrance on Spring Street.
All tunes are sung first with just the notes, then with words. Four-part unaccompanied singing dates from Colonial New England. Books (“Sacred Harp” and “Northern Harmony”) are available for loan and purchase.
Newcomers are most welcome. For more information, call 338-1265 or 594-5743.
