Beginning 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, there will be live Irish music at Billy’s Tavern, 1 Starr St. behind the Route 1 business block. Performing will be Belfast duo Bucky and Brownie.
Every Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Billy’s Tavern, there is an open jam where local musicians gather around the woodstove to play music. Musicians are invited to bring an instrument and join in; just sitting back and enjoying the music is encouraged as well. The weekly gathering has been known to have as many as 20 participants, playing instruments that range from “the bones” to saw.
