“We have a step-by-step renovation plan, but no dollar amount attached to it.”
— Chris Groden of Belslow Studios, a local nonprofit that announced plans Jan. 29 to buy the Hayford Block in Belfast and renovate the Opera House within as a 700-seat performing arts venue. Groden said there is no benefactor at Belslow Studios who can underwrite the renovations to the Opera House and he does not know how much it will cost, but he is optimistic that with a far-reaching fundraising campaign and a phased renovation it could be done.
