Muriel “Moonie” N. Richardson, 77, died Feb. 2, 2010, peacefully at her home after a long illness.

She was born April 8, 1932, in Camden, a daughter of Herbert and Frannie (Eugley) Heal. She graduated from Camden High School in 1950, and also married the love of her life, David “Jack” A. Richardson, that year.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She was the heart of the businesses that she and Jack had owned through their life, first the chicken farm and then Jack’s Grocery in Belfast. They spent a lot of time following the fairs with their racehorses and her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren.

Muriel is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack; a sister, Bessie Dean, of Lincolnville; three children, Pam and her husband, Bill Harford, of Newport Beach, Calif., Jeff and his wife, Deanna Richardson, of Freedom and Kristy Richardson of Belmont; four grandchildren, Travis and his wife, Amy Harford, Nikole and her husband, Adam Bresciani , Erin and her husband, Todd French, and Alicia Richardson and her fiancé, Shane Morong; and four great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ashley Harford, Jaim French, Colten Bresciani; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Selma Cilley; and three brothers, Vernon, Roland and Kendon Heal.

At Muriel’s request there will be no services.
