An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County during the past week. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.

Jan. 22
Trooper Corey Smith investigated a two-vehicle crash on Route 1A in Winterport. Smith is looking for help from the public to locate a vehicle, possibly a Honda with Maine vanity plates “Nanny,” that may have been driven by a witness to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Smith.

Jan. 24
Troopers Bethany Couturier and Donald Webber conducted a bail check on Michael Archambault, 51, of North Dixmont Road in Troy. Archambault was arrested for violating condition of release and taken to Waldo County Jail.

Jan. 26
Webber stopped Daniel Randall, 29, of Belfast on Route 137 in Belfast. Randall was summoned for operating after suspension.

Webber stopped Gregory Doucette, 60, of Monroe on Route 7 in Waldo for a registration violation. Doucette was summoned for operating an unregistered motor vehicle that was more than 150 days past-due.

Smith arrested John Ronayne Jr., 31, on Curtis Road in Swanville on outstanding warrants. He was taken to Waldo County Jail.

Jan. 27
Smith stopped Christina Love, 27, of Palermo on Route 3 in Searsmont for speed. She was summoned for improper plates, operating an uninspected vehicle, operating a defective motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with inadequate tires, failure to show proof of insurance, and failure to notify the Secretary of State’s office of an address change.

Trooper Luke Cunningham responded to a report of a family fight in Unity. Investigation revealed a 13-year-old female was upset with a family member and wanted to move out. The female was advised to follow the rules set by her guardians.

Jan. 28
Cunningham stopped David Albert, 41, on South Horseback Road in Burnham for an inspection violation. Albert was summoned for operating after suspension.

Trooper Ryan Brockway investigated a harassment complaint on the Gordon Hill Road in Thorndike. A complainant reported someone driving by her house making threatening statements. Brockway located three subjects in Unity and warned them for harassment and criminal trespass.

Trooper Jonathan Russell came across a vehicle that had gone off the road on Route 139 in Brooks. Investigation led to Aaron Scott, 29, of Knox, who was arrested for operating under the influence and operating after suspension and taken to Waldo County Jail.

Jan. 29
Webber received information from Waldo County Regional Communications Center that Crystal Ellis, 23, of Morrill was driving without a license. Webber stopped Ellis and she was summoned for operating without a license.

Couturier and Waldo County Sheriff’s Deputy Gerald Lincoln responded to a report of a suicidal male on Bog Road in Brooks. The 46-year-old male broke the windshield in Couturier’s cruiser. He was transported to Waldo County General Hospital for an evaluation and was also charged for aggravated criminal mischief.

Jan. 30
Couturier investigated the report of a theft in Jackson. The complainant called the trooper later in the day to say she had found the property and the complaint was unfounded.

Trooper Shawn Porter stopped Matthew Shaw, 28, on Winnecook Road in Burnham operating an unregistered tractor. Shaw was summoned for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
