An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between Feb. 2 and Feb. 9.

Feb. 2
At 10:55 a.m., Edmund L. Marshall, 61, of Belfast pulled out of a parking space on Fahey Street in a 1995 Toyota pickup when he cut the wheel too much and hit a 2000 Ford, operated by Ryan P. Mushrow, 26, of Belfast.

Feb. 3
Benjamin R. Young, 18, of Swanville was arrested for burglary, theft (stealing drugs), possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of violation of condition of release.

Debra F. Reynolds, 39, of Belmont was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Feb. 4
Diane H. Messer, 56, of Liberty was summoned for failure to yield on Belmont Avenue. At about 10:45 a.m., Gary N. Croman, 72, of Baileyville was driving west on Belmont Avenue in a 2003 Dodge when a 1991 Volvo, driven by Messer, turned left into a vet clinic in front of the Dodge. The two drivers and passenger Shirley T. Croman, 72, were all injured. Damage to the Dodge was estimated at $4,500 and damage to the Volvo was about $1,500.

Feb. 5
Taylor G. Cummings, 22, of Belfast was arrested for criminal trespass and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

Steven J. Russell, 29, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 51 mph in a 30 mph zone on Marsh Road.

Joshua J. Wallace, 25, of Union was summoned for failure to produce evidence of insurance.

Feb. 6
At about 11:45 a.m. Susan L. Mehuren, 54, of Searsmont backed from a parking space in a 2005 Chevrolet on Belmont Avenue and was about to leave when she was hit by a 2001 GMC pickup driven by Thomas A. Briggs, 49, of Monroe, who was also backing from a parking space and did not see the other vehicle. Damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $2,200 and $600 to the truck.

Leslie M. Denton, 36, of Troy was summoned for operating an unregistered motor vehicle more than 150 days past-due.

Stuart A. Hall, 54, of Stockton Springs was summoned for speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.

Mark S. Belleiske, 52, of Belfast was arrested for domestic violence assault and aggravated assault.
