Hazel (Littlefield) Evans, 90, died Feb. 12, 2010, at Avery Heights.

She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Evans.

Born Dec. 1,1919, in Knox to Charles and Nellie (Bradford) Littlefield, she lived in Waterville before moving to East Hartford, Conn., where she spent most of her life.

From 1955 until 1968 she was district manager of Royal of America and she and her husband co-owned Royal of Maine. From 1968 to 2002 Hazel was a bookkeeper for the following car dealers in Hartford & East Hartford: Dworin Chevrolet, Lipman AMC, Lipman Chevrolet and Newman Chevrolet, retiring at the age of 82.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she leaves three sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence Evans and Judy of Avon, Conn., Herbert Evans and Jeanne of Colchester, Conn., and Dale Evans and Margie of Cromwell, Conn; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Evans, of Texas; 12 grandchildren, Ted, Darlene, Rich, Nancy, Deb, Sue, Laurie, Todd, Vicky, Mary, Matthew and Andrew; and many great-grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Cecil Evans.

Family and friends are invited to call Friday, Feb. 19 from 5  to 7 p.m., followed by a service at 7 p.m., at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, Conn.
