An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between Feb. 16 and Feb. 22.

Feb. 17
Daniel B. Fuller, 22, of Montville was summoned for leaving the scene of an accident.

Trevor Ripley, 20, of Freedom was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Anthony M. Littlefield, 28, of Belfast was arrested for violating condition of release.

Feb. 19
At about 10:15 a.m. Jacquelyn A. Bell, 66, of Troy was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of routes 7 and 137 in a 1994 Jeep sport-utility vehicle. Abby C. Williams, 59, of Monroe, who was driving a 2006 Subaru, was stopped behind the Jeep. Williams said she thought the vehicle in front of her pulled out so she also pulled out, but due to the sun in her eyes she hit the car in the rear.

Feb. 20
Rhonda Lilley, 41, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 42 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street.

Steven G. Wilson, 51, of Morrill was summoned for speeding 50 mph in a 30 mph zone on Marsh Road.

Judith D. Freeman, 40, of Montville was summoned for speeding 49 mph in a 30 mph zone on Marsh Road.

Clark E. Ford, 42, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 48 mph in a 30 mph zone on Marsh Road.

Kevin D. Hooper, 42, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street.

Feb. 21
Melissa Phillips, 34, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 47 mph in a 30 mph zone on Marsh Road.

Amy L. Feener, 25, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 52 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 7. She was also charged with operating after suspension and aggravated forgery.

Eric A. Menard, 21, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25 mph zone on High Street.

Feb. 22
At about 1:25 p.m., Brian C. Sanderson, 32, of Belfast was driving a 1989 Chevrolet pickup east on Lincolnville Road when his right front tire when off the pavement onto the shoulder. Sanderson was unable to get back on the pavement and went airborne, coming down and striking a utility pole, breaking it at the base. Belfast Ambulance and Rescue Service responded, but according to the crash report, Sanderson was not seriously injured. Damage to the truck was estimated at $5,000.

Randall E. Carl, 44, of Swanville was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25 mph zone on High Street.

David Ewald, 32, of Waldo was summoned for speeding 49 mph in a 25 mph zone on High Street.

Benjamin Lilly, 21, of Gorham was summoned for speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.

Tyler A. Lee, 22, of Searsmont was summoned for speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.
