Glenice F. Wakefield, 79, of Sanford passed away Feb. 16, 2010 at home with her family around her. She was born May 4, 1930, the daughter of Wilbert Clyde and Agnis L. (Collamore) MacDonald.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was also an avid craftswoman. She enjoying knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and sewing, giving her handiworks as gifts to family and friends.

Surviving her is her husband of 32 years, Ernest Wakefield of Kennebunk; her daughter, Sandy Seekins of Searsport; a son, Danny, and his wife, Jean of Moosup, Conn.; a special granddaughter, Toni, and her husband, Doug Bass of Westerly, R.I.; eight other grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Niel, and his wife, Ruth of Riverside, Calif.; sister, Eva Vallers, and her family of Northport; sisters-in-law, Ann MacDonald of Ledyard, Conn., and Nancy MacDonald of Wilmington, Del; and many nieces and nephews around the country.

She was predeceased by her parents; five brothers, Glenn, Malcome, Hector, Gorden and Bruce; two daughters, Patricia and Cathleen Clark; and a son-in-law, Keith S. Seekins Sr.

Per her request, there will be no viewing or funeral. Arrangements were made by Autumn Green Funeral home in Alfred.
