An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity between Feb. 23 and March 2:

Feb. 23
Dana A. Evers, 52, of Dixmont was summoned for speeding 35 mph in a 25 mph zone.

Stanna M. Alton, 27, of Burnham was summoned for operating without a license and attaching false plates.

Joshua S. Thornton, 30, of Burnham was summoned for criminal mischief.

Feb. 24
Holly Grant, 33, of Unity was arrested for violating condition of release.

David S. Emerson, 36, of Stetson was summoned for speeding 64 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 7 in Jackson.

Feb. 25
Joshua J. St. Clair, 20, of Liberty was summoned for operating after suspension.

Daniel K. Williams, 22, of Orrington was summoned for failure to notify the Secretary of State’s office of a name and address change on a license.

William M. Hegstrom, 36, of Brooks was arrested for operating under the influence.

Feb. 26
Corey Caulkins, 30, of Winterport was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines.

Feb. 27
Brenda Hutchinson, 43, of Swanville was driving a 1999 GMC truck on Townhouse Road in Swanville at about 11:25 a.m. when she came around a curve in the road and the truck got into the soft shoulder that was covered in slush. The slush pulled her vehicle off the road and it struck a rock and rolled onto its passenger side. Hutchinson was not injured and damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,500.

Joshua A. Ard, 23, of Liberty was summoned for criminal trespass.

Feb. 28
Cynthia B. Durrah, 42, of Kenduskeag was summoned for operating under the influence.

March 1
At about 1:50 a.m., Robert A. Seekins, 49, of Stockton Springs was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck on Route 1 in Stockton Springs when he lost control of the vehicle due to the slushy, snowy roads. His truck went down over a bank and hit two pine trees. There was extensive damage, estimated at $5,000, to the truck’s front end. Seekins hit his head, leaving a bruise. He was checked out by Stockton Ambulance personnel but was not taken to the hospital.

Adam L. Skinner, 21, of Belfast was arrested for burglary, assault, aggravated criminal trespass, operating after suspension and reckless conduct.

Dalton N. Hines, 18, of Swanville was arrested for burglary, robbery, domestic assault, aggravated criminal trespass, theft, domestic terrorizing and evasion of registration fees and excise taxes.

Laura Irish, 35, of Burnham was arrested for failure to pay fines.
