Fine poetry, essays and short stories (3,000 words or less) are sought for the eighth annual “Goose River Anthology.” Deadline for submissions is March 31 (postmark).

Authors will earn a 10 percent cash royalty on all sales they generate. There is no purchase required and nothing is required of the author for publication. The publisher will retain one-time publishing rights only. Publication will be in the fall.

Poems should be submitted one per page, and essays and short stories should be double spaced. Submissions also should include a reading fee of $1 per page; and a self-addressed stamped envelope for notification and possible return.

Work should be sent to Goose River Anthology 2010, 3400 Friendship Road, Waldoboro, ME 04572-6337. For more information, call 832-6665; send e-mail to gooseriverpress@roadrunner.com; or visit gooseriverpress.com.

Authors with a full-length manuscript they would like considered for publication by Goose River Press should request guidelines for submission.
