Saltwater Artists Gallery, an artists’ cooperative located just across from the Bradley Inn at Pemaquid Point, is accepting applications for membership.

SWAG consists of a diverse group of artists and artisans currently working in a variety of media including painting, pastel, graphics, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fiber arts, stained glass, woodwork and jewelry. The Web site is saltwaterartists.com.

SWAG membership provides not only excellent sales opportunities, but also interaction with a supportive community of artists and artisans. Membership responsibilities include attendance of occasional meetings, participation in gallery operations and events and payment of dues and exhibition fees. Gallery sitting allows members to get to know the gallery’s customers.

Applicants’ work will be juried Saturday, March 27 at a location in the Damariscotta/Newcastle area. Drop-off will be between 10 a.m. and noon and pick-up between 4 and 6 p.m. Applicants should bring three representative pieces of their art, a CD containing jpgs of 10 additional works and a resume’ plus artist’s statement.
