An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between March 2 and March 9.

March 2
Bridget K. Ladd, 27, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 44 mph in a 30 mph zone on Marsh Road.

At about 7:10 p.m., Debra S. Andrews, 57, of Seal Harbor was driving west on Belmont Avenue near the Belfast Curling Club in a 1998 Volvo when she signaled to turn left. Deane W. Mclean, 55, of Belmont, who was following behind Andrews in a 2004 Mazda attempted to go around her on the right. Andrews said she initially had her left signal on but then changed her mind, so she put on her right signal to make a right turn, but Mclean said by that time it was too late to stop. The Volvo had $500 in damages.

March 3
Carl L. Collins, 64, of Belfast was stopped at the end of the Route 1 ramp on High Street in a 2009 Honda sport-utility vehicle when he was hit from behind by a 2002 Nissan SUV, driven Seth Gallant, 21, of Belfast, who said he tried to stop but couldn’t because a loose bottle rolled under the brake pedal. The crash occurred at about 6:25 a.m. The Honda sustained $850 in damages, the Nissan $150.

March 4
Matthew D. Freeman, 46, of Freedom was summoned for operating an unregistered motor vehicle more than 150 days past-due.

March 5
Pete Ingraldi, 59, of Monroe was summoned for operating beyond posted road conditions on Acorn Road.

Zachary S. Levesque, 20, of Old Town was summoned for two counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

March 6
Amy M. Jacobs, 37, of Brooks was arrested for operating under the influence.

Wayne Tracy, 51, of Winterport was summoned for disorderly conduct.

Tyler J. Damon, 18, of Stockton Springs was arrested for refusing to submit to arrest or detention, two counts of assault on an emergency care provider and disorderly conduct.

March 8

David Thomas Riedy, 39, of Timbo, Ark., was summoned for operating without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, attaching false plates and failure to show proof of insurance.

March 9
Kathy J. Larochelle, 51, of Belfast was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street.
