Searsport resident Charlene Knox Farris, left, receives a clock from Town Manager James Gillway during the opening of Searsport’s town meeting March 6. The clock was a gift to Farris to recognize the fact that she was designated the town’s official historian, after having been known as the town’s unofficial historian for many years.
