The “Keep Searsport Warm” Committee is looking for participants to enter its Chili and Chowder Cook-off to be held Friday, May 14. The contest is a fundraiser to purchase teaching materials for the Rape, Assault, Defense-Training classes taught by Officer Jessica Danielson of the Searsport Police Department.
The contest will have both individual and commercial divisions, and the winner in each division will receive a trophy for “best chili” or “best chowder” in town. Entrants do not have to be residents of Searsport — anyone can enter.
To enter the contest, or for more information, contact Brian Callahan at 548-0281, or e-mail bscallahan@gmail.com.
