On March 7, Troop 34 of Frankfort held its annual Crossover in Scouting. The Crossover is a major event in the Scout’s growth in Scouting. The event celebrates the transition from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.

Scouts Ben Dargon, Caleb Ackley, Eric Bowen and Cameron Watts crossed the bridge into Troop 34’s five-star Boy Scout program. Members of Frankfort Pack 34 and Troop 34, Pack and Troop adult leaders, family and friends attended the Crossover.

As Boy Scouts these young men will learn how to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by absorbing the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scouting programs and activities provide Scouts the opportunity to enjoy new experiences, provide service to others, develop self-confidence and build their character. Each Scout learns lifelong skills in being a leader, first aid, goal-setting, knot-tying, community involvement, camping skills, etc. under the leadership of Scoutmaster Joe Dargon and Troop 34 adult volunteers. These four Scouts now begin the fun and rewarding journey in Scouting with the ultimate goal of becoming an Eagle Scout.
