The Searsport Pines Golf Course is open for the 2010 season.

The golf course opened to the public March 13, which is the earliest opening date in the history of the course, according to owner Sue Prisco. She added that both the greens and the course are in “great shape,” especially for so early in the season.

Searsport Pines has already had several dozen golfers hit the links since its opening day, and the golfers are paying a reduced green fee to do so.

Rates are currently $15 for nine holes and $25 for 18 holes. Golf carts will not be permitted on the course until conditions allow.

The driving range is also open for business, as well as The Grille at Searsport Pines, which is open on a limited basis and will be fully operational in the near future.
