Raffle raises $1,650 to benefit hospital

Muriel Elkins of Brooks was the winner of the Celtic basket raffle held by the Hospital Aid at Waldo County General Hospital. The winning ticket was drawn by Joe Calista, who attended the Hospital Aid meeting on St. Patrick's Day to entertain members by singing a medley of Irish songs. The total amount raised by the Hospital Aid on the raffle was $1,650, which will benefit the hospital.
