Fannie E. Clements, 89, passed away March 23, 2010 at Harbor Hill in Belfast.

She was born in Belmont March 31, 1920, a daughter of Harry and Alberta (Clement) Greer. In her early years, she worked for the public finance company and was a medical receptionist locally for Dr. Black. Fannie’s most recent employment was as registrar of deeds for Waldo County for 25 years. She was a member of the Belfast Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed bowling, playing golf and traveling.

Fannie was predeceased by her husband, James.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carol and Georgia Clements, of Rhode Island; two grandchildren and their spouses, James and Theresa Clements and Lori and Alan Richards, all of Rhode Island; four great-grandchildren; a nephew and two nieces.

Friends may call Thursday, April 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. April 23 with the Rev. Joel Krueger and the Rev. Kate Winters officiating. Interment will follow at the Grove Cemetery in Belfast.
