“Robinson Ballet LIVE 2010” and this year’s children’s matinee show, “La Boutique Fantasque,” will be presented during the first two weekends in April in Bangor and Ellsworth. The Bangor-based dance school is led by Keith Robinson and Maureen Lynch of Northport and offers classes in Belfast.

“Robinson Ballet Live 2010” will be presented Friday and Saturday, April 2 and 3 at the Bangor Opera House; and April 9 and 10 at The Grand Auditorium in Ellsworth at 7 p.m. “La Boutique Fantasque” will be presented 3 p.m. both Saturdays at the respective venues.

Artistic directors Robinson and Lynch have created two exhilarating dance shows to entertain and delight. The 2010 “Robinson Ballet LIVE” will present the works of five choreographers including New York-based Michelle Mola, who will be joined by Zack Winokur, fellow member of her company The Troupe; Shana Bloomstein of the Belfast Dance Studio, who has created an African fusion group piece accompanied by drummer Jeff Densmore and inspired by traditional West African dances; Robinson, offering a new work titled “Akrasia”; and resident choreographers Stevie Dunham and Terry Lacy. Lynch choreographed and directs “La Boutique Fantasque (The strange or fantastic toyshop).”

Tickets for the evening shows are $14, $10 senior citizens and $8 for children and students, while tickets to the matinees are $5 for all. Combo tickets to both shows are $15 for all adults, $10 for children and students.
