On March 28 Searsport Boy Scout Troop 215 held a Court of Honor at the Searsport Lions Hall. The Court of Honor is a formal presentation that recognizes Scouts who have advanced their rank in scouting. Prior to holding the Court of Honor, adult scout volunteers hold a Board of Review with each Scout to ensure the Scout has met the requirements for their rank advancement and/or merit badge skills.

Dylon Grant was presented with his First Class Scout patch. Connor Fraser received four merit badges: Citizen in the Community, Citizen in the Nation, Citizen in the World and Emergency Preparedness.

Alex Hooper was presented with his Life Scout patch. Hooper is now working on meeting the requirements to advance to Eagle Scout,  the highest rank in Boy Scouting. Less than 2 percent of Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle.

Jim Gillway, scoutmaster, promoted and presented Hooper with his Senior Patrol Leader patch. Fraser was promoted and presented with his Assistant Senior Patrol patch. These two Scouts take on leadership roles for the troop.
