The Greater Bay Area Ministerium announces the following ecumenical events this week. On April 2, there will be an ecumenical Good Friday service at 6:00 p.m. at Midcoast Christian Fellowship Church on Patterson Hill Road (behind the East Belfast Elementary School). The service will be based on the traditional Seven Last Words of Christ and will include music by singers of the Belfast United Methodist Church.

There will also be a Good Friday service at the First Congregational Church in Searsport at 7:00 p.m.

On Easter Sunday, three Sunrise services will be held. In Searsport, the 6:00 a.m. service will be held at the Searsport Wharf (off Steamboat Ave.). Another Sunrise service will be held at the Belfast Boathouse also at 6:00 a.m.; and in Frankfort, a service will be held on West Hill at 6:05 a.m. All are invited to attend these services.

Maundy Thursday – Belfast United Methodist (5:30 p.m.); First Baptist, 6 p.m. followed by Prayer Vigil 7 p.m. to Noon Friday; First Church in Belfast, UCC, 6 p.m.; First Congregational of Searsport, 6 p.m.; Frankfort Congregational UCC, 7 p.m.; St. Margaret’s Episcopal, 6 p.m. Agape Meal; North Searsport United Methodist, 7 p.m.

Good Friday – First Church in Belfast, UCC, open for prayer noon to 3 p.m.; Frankfort Congregational UCC, open from noon to 4 p.m. for prayer and meditation; North Searsport & Searsport United Methodists, open for prayer and meditation noon to 3 p.m.; St. Margaret’s Episcopal, Stations of the Cross 12:15 p.m.

Easter Sunday Breakfast – First Baptist, 6:30 a.m.; Frankfort Congregational UCC, following Sunrise Service; North Searsport United Methodist, 7:30 a.m.; First Church in Belfast, UCC, 8 a.m.
