An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity between March 23 and March 30.

March 23
At about 1:10 p.m., Sarah R. Rackliffe, 20, of Searsport was backing from a parking space in front of Purple Baboon on Main Street in a 2004 Hyundai and did not see a 2007 Toyota truck, driven by Danny J. McGovern, 57, of Liberty, make the turn because of the rain. Rackliffe hit the rear of the truck. There were no injuries and damags were estimated at $800 to the car and $1,800 to the truck.

March 24
Dallas M. Hatch, 25, of Brooks was summoned for theft (shoplifting).

March 25
Dustan P. Larsen, 30, of Winterport was summoned for speeding 58 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 1.

Samuel P. Ingraham, 31, of Searsmont was summoned for failure to show proof of insurance.

Constance M. Hersom, 41, of Frankfort was summoned for theft.

March 27
Robert G. Moreau, 26, of Augusta was summoned for failure to show proof of insurance.

March 28
William J. Runi II, 36, of Belfast was summoned for operating after suspension.
