Four Mount View High School girls have been selected and sponsored by the Benjamin Berry 50 American Legion Auxiliary of Unity to attend Girls’ State at Husson University in Bangor June 20-25. Girls’ State provides an opportunity for girls to receive training in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship in order that they may understand and someday participate in the functioning of their government.

The following girls have been selected as delegates:

Rachel Heard, daughter of Christopher Heard of Albion, sponsored by Benjamin Berry 50 American Legion Auxiliary of Unity;

Margaret Clark, daughter of Gloria Hewett of Montville, sponsored by MSAD 3 Education Association of Unity;

Katie Cloutier, daughter of Phyllis Albert of Liberty, sponsored by Unitel of Unity;

Christine Larrabee, daughter of Tisha and Greg Larrabee of Brooks, sponsored by class of 2011, Mount View High School, Thorndike;

Alternates:
Brianna Moody, daughter of Jennifer and Mark Moody of Brooks;
Lorna Harriman, daughter of Kathryn and Greg Harriman of Troy.
