Coastal Mountains Land Trust will host a volunteer orientation Tuesday, April 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 101 Mt. Battie Street  for those interested in getting involved with the Land Trust’s land stewardship and outreach programs this year.

Stewardship Director, Ian Stewart, will provide an overview of the Land Trust’s programs and conservation properties as well as a summary of the numerous volunteer positions that the Land Trust is currently seeking to fill.

Volunteers are needed to serve as preserve monitors, trail managers, office docents, and outreach assistants. If you like spending time outdoors, would enjoy meeting new people, and are seeking an opportunity to learn more about the ecology of this area, you are encouraged to attend.

Register to attend by calling the Land Trust at 236-7091. More information can also be found online at coastalmountains.org.

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 8,000 acres to date.
