Rosey Gerry, musician, auctioneer and raconteur, will host another bluegrass/folk music jam session Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lincolnville Central School, Route 235 in Lincolnville Center.
Everyone, whether just learning to play or at it for a long time, is invited to come and have fun. Participants should bring their mandolins, fiddles, banjos, saws, spoons, guitars, autoharps, harmonicas, washboards, jugs, stand-up basses, concertinas, whistles and, especially, their voices and favorite songs.
The rough schedule for the event is for it to start with a large jam for all, then break into smaller groups at 9:30 a.m., back together from another large jam at 10 a.m. then stage workshops to learn public performance skills from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The free morning jam session is open to all, and spectators are welcome. All ages are encouraged to attend, especially students. For more information, contact Gerry, a member of the Breezemere Bottom Boys, at 975-5432 or roskari@gmail.com.
