An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County during the past week. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.

March 29
Trooper Jason Madore investigated a harassment complaint on Stagecoach Road in Unity. The investigation revealed the harassment was unfounded, but Aryon Danhoy, 21, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to Waldo County Jail.

Trooper Jonathan Russell investigated a burglary and theft complaint on Waning Road in Unity. The complainant reported an unoccupied house that is for sale had been broken into and copper pipes were removed. Trooper Jonah O’Roak assisted with the investigation, which is ongoing.

March 30
O’Roak responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on Route 139 in Unity. Investigation revealed that for an unknown reason the 20-year-old male went off the road. He was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.

March 31
Trooper Shawn Porter responded to Hardwood Lane in Freedom for a report of a suicidal male. The complainant reported receiving a call from a 55-year-old male who was despondent. Porter and K-9 Tex tracked and located the male and transported him to the hospital for an evaluation.

April 1
Porter stopped Brandy Morrison, 27, on Troy Road in Burnham. Morrison was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to Waldo County Jail.

Webber stopped a 17-year-old male from Freedom on Route 137 in Knox for speeding and an inspection violation. The teen was summoned for operating a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April 2
Porter stopped a 17-year-old male on Village Street in Jackson for a vehicle defect. The teen was summoned for carrying passengers beyond interim license/permit restrictions.

Troopers Jeremiah Wesbrock and Chris Rogers responded to a report of a family fight on Hodgdon Road in Troy. The investigation revealed the argument was verbal only, but Paul French, 33, was arrested for operating under the influence and taken to Waldo County Jail.

April 3
O’Roak investigated a report of a burglary and criminal mischief on Stream Road in Winterport. The complainant reported several windows at a residence had been broken. The investigation continues.
