Lloyd B. Stevens, 77, died April 7, 2010, in Augusta.
He was born in Dixmont July 22, 1932, the son of Harold and Hazel (Laurence) Stevens.
He served in the Air Force in Korea and was a member of the American Legion in Brooks, Brooks Fire Department. He owned Marsh River Garage in Brooks for 30 years. He loved fishing, cars and being a mechanic. He also enjoyed baseball, especially the Red Sox, country music and gardening. Lloyd was a great storyteller. He loved people and enjoyed socializing with those he served at his garage. Lloyd loved his family dearly and lived for his children.
He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Priscilla.
He is survived by his children, Carol Lee of Oakland, Douglas and Dolores Stevens, Julie McIver, Melinda Nelson, all of Brooks, and Maureen James of Gardiner; a sister, Jolene Thompson, of Holden; and eight grandchildren.
Calling hours were April 11 at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where a funeral service will be held April 12 at 1:30 p.m. Online condolences may be offered to the family at ripostafh.com.
